The Trust
The Board of Governors of the St. John’s Educational Trust provides strategic oversight and governance for its three schools: St. John’s College, St. John’s Preparatory School, and St. John’s Early Childhood Development Centre. Established to support, maintain, expand, and enhance these schools, the Trust is dedicated to aligning resources, standards, and policies with its educational mission. While the Board shapes the Trust’s overarching strategy and supports each school, it does not participate in daily operations. Instead, the Heads of each school are responsible for day-to-day management and leadership, including implementing educational programs, handling admissions, and overseeing administrative duties.
The St. John’s Educational Trust is composed of up to twenty Governors, each nominated and elected for an initial three-year term, with opportunities for renewal. The Board operates through various committees, each led by a committee chair, to oversee specific areas of focus for the Board. All three Heads serve as ex-officio members of the Board.
