‘Traditional Values, 21st Century Thinking’
Dear Visitor, welcome to our website.
St John’s College, founded in 1986, is a proud member of the IBSC and the first Zimbabwean school to become a member of ISASA. It’s a forward-looking Zimbabwean Boy’s School whose values and Ethos are rooted in Christianity; and which provides innovative and inspiring Education to boys.
I do hope the following pages give you a sense of the ‘character and soul’ of this wonderful school set in the Northern suburbs of Harare.
We aim to mould young boys into ‘Gentlemen’ of competence, outstanding personal qualities and solid values by living out and adhering to our Mission Statement.
Our principal focus is obviously Academic ‘to be the best that I can be’ but equally important is our emphasis of challenging and inspiring our students outside of the classroom, be it in our outdoor experiential programme of camps and tours or through our extensive and thriving extra-curricular programme of sporting disciplines, clubs, and visual and performing ‘arts’.
Fundamental to our operations is the focus on ‘servant mentorship’, the development of upright and morally solid leaders, and nurturing every St. John’s student to become a visible expression of our core values, Empathy, Respect and Integrity.
Beyond this Website, we’d encourage you to come and see for yourself our Community College in action by paying us a visit. We would be delighted to host you!
