‘Traditional Values, 21st Century Thinking’

Dear Visitor, welcome to our website.

St John’s College, established in 1986, is the first Zimbabwean school to join the Independent Schools Association of Southern Africa (ISASA), and is a proud member of the International Boys’ Schools Coalition (IBSC), and the Zimbabwe Association of Trust Schools (ATS).

I do hope the following pages give you a sense of the ‘character and soul’ of this wonderful school set in the Northern suburbs of Harare.

We aim to mould young boys into ‘Gentlemen’ of competence with outstanding personal qualities and solid value, by living out and adhering to our Mission Statement.

Our principal focus is obviously Academic ‘to be the best that I can be’ but equally important is our emphasis on challenging and inspiring our students outside of the classroom; be it in our outdoor experiential programme of camps and tours, or through our extensive and thriving extra-curricular programme of sporting disciplines, clubs, and visual and performing arts.

Fundamental to our operations is the focus on Servant Mentorship: the development of upright and morally solid leaders, and nurturing every St John’s student to become a visible expression of our core values; Empathy, Respect and Integrity.

Beyond this Website, we encourage you to come and see for yourself our Community College in action, by paying us a visit. We would be delighted to host you.
