St John’s College runs the following examinations:

1

Cambridge Checkpoint

in Form 2 in Mathematics, English and Science. This is a progress assessment where Cambridge provides feedback for each student. It allows our students to experience external examinations in a less pressured environment before they enter the programme leading to examinations at the end of Form 4.

2

IGCSE examinations

in Form 4 are offered in a wide range of subjects. These include languages, sciences, computer science, humanities and business subjects.

3

AS Level examinations

are written in Lower Six and prepare students to face their final A Level examinations at the end of their school career in Upper Six.

St John’s is progressive and believes that all students should have equal opportunities. As such we offer a wide range of Access Arrangements to help students with learning difficulties to pass their examinations. These include scribes and readers, use of computers and other relevant access arrangements. Students are assisted in becoming familiar with these arrangements in the Da Vinci Centre, which allows them to feel more confident.

Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure smoothly-run examinations where students know what to expect and are able to showcase their ability.
