St John’s College runs the following examinations:
Cambridge Checkpoint
in Form 2 in Mathematics, English and Science. This is a progress assessment where Cambridge provides feedback for each student. It allows our students to experience external examinations in a somewhat less pressured environment before they enter the more high-stakes assessments in Form 4.
IGCSE examinations
in Form 4 are offered in a wide range of subjects. These include languages, sciences, computer science, humanities and business subjects.
AS Level examinations
are written in Lower Six and prepare students to face their final A Level examinations at the end of their school careers in Upper Six.
St John’s is progressive and believes that all students should have equal opportunities. As such we administer a wide range of Access Arrangements to help disadvantaged students pass their examinations. These include scribes and readers, colour namers, use of computers and many more. They are practised in the school’s Da Vinci Centre, allowing students to feel comfortable and do their best in examinations.
Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure smoothly run examinations where students know what to expect and are able to showcase their ability.
