St John's College stands out in the educational landscape with its mission to develop students
physically, spiritually, and intellectually.
This distinct approach has led us to restructure our management structure and intensify our focus on specialisation, all aimed at achieving excellence in our mission.

The Student and Faculty Affairs office coordinates a diverse range of activities for staff and students, as well as the day-to-day running of the school under the Headmaster and various members of the Management Team. A dedicated and professional Faculty is at the centre of our excellence. We are immensely proud of our competent staff, who care for, mentor, and guide our students to be empathetic, respectful, and young men of conscience.
Our Faculty continuously refines its craft, and we spend a significant budget on Continuing Professional Development, enhancing its understanding of the learning needs of our boys and delivering tailored support. The In-House Teacher Training, facilitated by our Education Quality Strategist, is an introductory course to the foundations of teacher training. The In-House Teacher Training aims to equip school leavers who find themselves in gap years but are identified as potential good teachers and who are very good with children.

It also seeks to equip sports coaches who need formal training to transition into the classroom and specialist staff employed because of their degrees, but who have no teaching skills but also need formal training. This further demonstrates our quest to create a competent pool of teachers for the St John’s Educational Trust School.
The Education Quality Strategist routinely assesses the College staff. This is in order to determine how well teachers are teaching and is a vital part of quality assurance. Staff are given detailed, specific advice about how to improve, and feedback on how to maximise their strengths.

Support is offered, and we are committed to excellence. The students are often interviewed and they have a voice to be heard when it comes to their own education. Teachers can request extra support when needed. Management is constantly kept appraised of teachers and departments. Our students, who leave the College with a balanced education, are a testament to the success of our approach.
Former students of the College are often recognised for their gentlemanly conduct and good manners. Their resilience and adaptability in an ever-changing and complex world further underscore the effectiveness of our diverse and holistic education, a synthesis of tradition and innovation.
